UPDATED:

Mason McCoy has had a handful of starts and stops to his rehab assignment at Triple-A El Paso.

Maybe he’s finally feeling right.

The 30-year-old infielder homered during a two-hit rehab game, leading Triple-A El Paso to a 6-5 win on Sunday in Sacramento.

McCoy was in the majors as in injury fill-in when he dislocated his left pinky while diving back to a base on April 27. He was unable to avoid the injured list as hoped and didn’t start a rehab assignment with El paso until May 20.

Sunday, however, was just the fourth game he’d played since then.

McCoy was 0-for-5 with three strikeouts in the majors this year.

He is hitting .317/.400/.512 with two homers in 24 games for El Paso.

Left fielder Tirso Ornelas (.823 OPS) drove in two runs on a double and center fielder Forrest Wall (.780 OPS) went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored.

Right-hander Alek Jacob (1-0, 0.00 ERA) earned the win with a strikeout in a scoreless inning of relief and right-hander Ron Marinaccio (4.70 ERA) saved his second game with three strikeouts over 1⅓ scoreless innings.

Left-hander Jackson Wolf (2.84 ERA) allowed four unearned runs in 4⅔ innings in the start. He struck out six.

El Paso is 29-28.
