Kyle Hart continues to hold his own at Triple-A El Paso.
The 32-year-old left-hander walked four but allowed just two runs in five innings as El Paso beat visiting Tacoma 6-2 on Thursday.
Hart (2-0, 2.29 ERA) struck out four and gave up three hits. Through 19⅔ innings, Hart has struck out 16, walked 15 and allowed a .182 batting average to opposing hitters.
Hart began the year with a 6.00 ERA through 21 innings in the majors.
The bullpen combined for four shutout innings after Hart’s exit, including right-hander David Morgan striking out two in a scoreless ninth.
Designated hitter Trenton Brooks (.908 OPS) hit his eighth homer and left fielder Tim Locastro (1.053 OPS) doubled twice.
Right fielder Yonathan Perlaza (.801 OPS), center fielder Bryce Johnson (.897 OPS) and first baseman Luis Campusano (1.062 OPS) all had doubles.
El Paso is 24-24.

RHP Johan Moreno (9.13 ERA) struck out six over four innings of one-run ball in relief. 3B Zach Evans (.824 OPS) went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI. DH Kavares Tears (.780 OPS) went 2-for-5. 1B Victor Figueroa (1.121 OPS) went 1-for-5 with a run scored.
ROOKIE ACL PADRES (4-11)
Rockies 4, Padres 0: RHP Tanner Smith (0-1, 27.00 ERA) allowed two runs in two-thirds of an inning in the start. The Padres’ only hits were singles from CF Donte Grant (.545 OPS) and 3B Ismael Javier (.520 OPS). LF Eguy Rosario (.641 OPS) went 0-for-2 with a walk.
