Kids can the Summer Learning 2025 activities during Thrilling Thursdays at the Rancho Santa Fe Library. There’s a mermaid and pirate dance party on June 5, a ventriloquist on June 12, and an ice cream social and animal show on July 24. And there are events for adults and families. Resin Bookmark Workshop with Toshwerks

Saturday, May 31, 10:30 a.m. Toshwerks to learn tips and tricks to create your own resin bookmark. This workshop is for teens and adults. All supplies are provided and space is limited. Please call 858-756-2512 to reserve your spot.

Great Decisions, International Cooperation on Climate Change

Monday, June 2, 10:15 a.m.Discuss a topic from the Great Decisions Briefing Book, a publication of the Foreign Policy Association. You can pick up a copy at the library to read in advance of the meeting. The subject will be lesson 5, “International Cooperation on Climate Change.”

Coffee & Conversation, Artificial Intelligence

Thursday, June 12, 11 a.m. to noon us as we welcome Becky Wu to talk about different aspects of artificial intelligence. She will discuss what AI is, recent developments, limitations and challenges, ethical concerns, and legal frameworks and regulations.

RSF Book Club

Friday, June 13, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.Come us for a lively discussion of the book, “American Dirt” by Jeanine Cummins. Pick up your copy at the branch or a copy of the book with the Libby application.

Summer Learning: Slack Key ‘Ohana Hawaiian Music

Saturday, June 14, 1 to 2 p.m.Slack Key ‘Ohana offers original and traditional Hawaiian music that takes audiences on an island adventure filled with the aloha spirit, singalong songs, and the warmth and comfort of family. After all, ‘ohana means family in Hawaiian and the band and their audience become one big ‘ohana by the end of the concerts.

Summer Learning: Succulent Arrangement

Saturday, June 28, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.Come and create your own succulent arrangement. Learn about how to maintain a succulent garden. All supplies will be provided. Space is limited so please sign up at the branch or call 858-756-2512.

Art Display by Andrea Bottancino

Through July 5Annette Bottancino hosts a new art display, “Portraiture.” See it now in the Media Room at the Rancho Santa Fe Library, Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Writers’ Group

Every Second Wednesday from 12:30 to 2 p.m.Are you competent, diligent, and amiable writer of fiction or narrative non-fiction? Then us as we meet to discuss the creative process, mechanics of craft, and representation and happenings in the publishing world. We also talk about books, films and more.

Chair Yoga

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. us for some gentle chair yoga with Silver Age Yoga. Space is limited to 25 and is on first-come first-serve basis.

Meditation and Mindfulness

Wednesdays, 10 a.m.Discover simple, effective ways to reduce stress and bring balance and happiness into your life. This special program is limited to 20 participants.

American Flag Drop Off

If it’s time to retire your American Flag, please drop it off at the library. There is a drop box and your flag will be treated with respect.

Battery Drop Off at Library

The Rancho Santa Fe Library is a safe place to dispose of small batteries, including A, AA, AAA, C, lithium (with taped covered ends), cell phone and other small batteries. Do your part to stop pollution by bringing this toxic trash to the library. The drop-off program is in partnership with Universal Waste.

Seeds and Sustainability

The Rancho Santa Fe Library is a seed library too! Come by to pick up two free seed varieties that you can take home and plant.
