Teen Volunteers in Action (TVIA) SD3 recently held their Senior Send-Off at the Fairbanks Ranch Country Club. The young men in the Senior Class were honored for six years of volunteer work, leadership development and contributions to the community.
TVIA is a nonprofit organization that engages young men beginning in 7th grade, who, together with their families, participate in structured programs of volunteerism, philanthropy, and personal development. The mission of TVIA is to develop community leaders, according to a news release.
These seniors have volunteered with a multitude of local organizations such as the San Diego Food Bank, Miracle League, 92130 Cares, Burrito Boyz, Last Chance at Life Rescue, Paradise Dreams Animal Sanctuary, Bridge of Hope, Solutions for Change, Meals on Wheels and Feeding America San Diego to name a few.
