Jake Cronenworth is looking healthier by the day.
He homered in his first rehab game with Triple-A El Paso, a 9-7 win on Tuesday over visiting Round Rock.
Cronenworth went 1-for-2 with two RBIs, three walks and three runs scored while playing second base.
Cronenworth is expected to play with El Paso again on Wednesday as he looks to the big-league club in Denver on Friday. He already played two rehab games last week in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League.
Cronenworth has been out since exiting a game on April 8 with a nondisplaced rib fracture.
Shortstop Eguy Rosario (.456 OPS) hit his first homer of the season, his 49th as a Chihuahua to set a franchise record.
Right-hander David Morgan (0.00 ERA) struck out two in a scoreless inning in his El Paso debut and right-hander Reiss Knehr (3.00 ERA) struck out three in the ninth for his seventh save.
El Paso is 16-18.

RHP Will Varmette (1-0, 8.10 ERA) turned in four perfect innings in relief for the win. CF Kasen Wells (.844 OPS) drove in two runs on two hits, including a double. 3B Zach Evans (.847 OPS) went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI. 2B Ryan Jackson (.917 OPS) and LF Chase Valentine (.429 OPS) both had doubles.
