Boulevard boutique fashion show benefit in RSF

Boulevard boutique will present its spring 2025 charity event L’Atelier on Thursday, May 8, from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. at its Rancho Santa Fe location at 6012 Paseo Delicias. The evening will feature a fashion show with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Promises2Kids, which “provides over 3,000 current and former foster youth in San Diego County with the tools, opportunities and guidance they need to address the circumstances that brought them into foster care, overcome the difficulties of their past, and grow into healthy and successful adults,” their website states. Sandpipers 52nd Anniversary Dance Celebration

On May 3 from 6 to 7 p.m. the Sandpipers Square Dance Club begins celebrating 52 consecutive years of dancing with an Introduction to Basics at San Dieguito United Methodist Church, 170 Calle Magdalena Street, Encinitas. Salute to Young Musicians Concert

A Salute to Young Musicians Concert is at 2 p.m. May 4 featuring the Coastal Communities Concert Band, an award-winning symphonic band with more than 75 San Diego-area musicians, along with 26 local high school students, at the San Dieguito Academy Gymnasium, 800 Santa Fe Drive. Students from Canyon Crest Academy, La Costa Canyon High School, San Dieguito Academy and Torrey Pines High School are slated to perform with the band, directed by guest conductor Bruce Mansfield. North Coast Symphony presents ‘Voices of Spring’

The North Coast Symphony Orchestra presents Voices of Spring, a program of operatic favorites, on Saturday, May 17 at 2:30 p.m. at the San Dieguito United Methodist Church, 170 Calle Magdelena, Encinitas. The performance features Katherine Polit (soprano), Sarah-Nicole Ruddy-Carter (mezzo soprano), Aaron Humble (tenor), and Michael Sokol (baritone), and includes selections from operas by Delibes, Saint-Saens, Donizetti, Verdi, Offenbach, and Wagner. North Coast Repertory Theatre is now featuring the world premiere comic mystery “Peril in the Alps” through May 18.The twin sister of Captain Hastings wife, Dulcie, has been kidnapped — and Hercule Poirot rightly expects not only extortion to follow, but murder. Using elements of Agatha Christie’s “Poirot Investigates,” Steven Dietz creates a sequel to his wildly popular Murder on the Links, taking the audience on a thrilling and dangerous trip to the snow-capped Alps, where the famed Belgian detective may finally meet his match. Batiquitos Lagoon event features ‘The Fascinating World of Bats’

Batiquitos Lagoon will hold a presentation on May 10 at 10 a.m. titled “The Fascinating World of Bats,” given by Cynthia Myers of Project Wildlife and a wildlife outreach volunteer. The lagoon is habitat to multiple species of bats rarely seen by those who visit its trails. Walk for Animals benefits animal shelter

The San Diego Humane Society will put on its 31st annual Walk for Animals — San Diego from 7 to 11 a.m. May 3 at NTC Park at Liberty Station, 2455 Cushing Road. Highlights include a free pancake breakfast, live music, blessing of animals, a doggie spa and Vendor Village with animal-friendly products and community partners. Proceeds will help the nonprofit care for an expected 40,000 animals in the coming year.
