UPDATED:

Another day, another San Diego State football pickup from the NCAA transfer portal.

Tuesday it was the g of Washington offensive line transfer Michael Watkins.

Watkins, a 6-foot-2, 320-pound redshirt freshman from Glendale, Ariz., is the sixth player plucked from the portal within the past week.

The group includes two offensive linemen, two defensive linemen, a safety and a wide receiver.

The Aztecs are expected to add one more player. It would not be surprising for it to be a running back after losing senior running back Cam Davis to the portal.

Davis’ departure leaves the Aztecs with only three returning backs, junior Lucky Sutton, junior transfer Christian Washington and redshirt freshman Cincere Rhaney, so boosting the thinned ranks would make sense.

Davis was among 11 SDSU players who entered the transfer portal during the 10-day April window.

A three-star prospect out of Apollo High School, Watkins was part of the University of Arizona’s 2024 g class. When Wildcats coach Jedd Fisch was hired at Washington last year, Watkins followed the coach to Seattle. Watkins did not appear in a game at Washington last season.

Kickoff time set

The Pac-12 on Tuesday announced TV networks and kick times for Oregon State and Washington State home games. The Aztecs travel to Washington State in Week 2 for a game that will be played at 7:15 p.m. and broadcast on the CW.

SDSU’s 2025 schedule was announced in February, but the Aztecs are waiting for broadcast assignments and kick times for its other 11 games. That information is expected in mid-May.

NFL mini-camp invite

The Washington Commanders have extended a rookie mini-camp invitation to former SDSU tight end Jude Wolfe, who had 18 receptions for 161 yards and two touchdowns last season. Wolfe is the third Aztecs player invited to a mini-camp, ing offensive lineman Nate Williams (New York Giants) and tight end Mikey Harrison (Denver Broncos).
