The San Diego International Film Festival brought the Academy Awards to La Jolla — virtually — with a viewing party at a private estate during the televised Oscars ceremony March 2.

Party guests could walk a red carpet and mingle with fellow film lovers while partaking of champagne, craft cocktails, wine selections and food from San Diego chefs.

Proceeds from ticket sales and a silent auction will benefit the film festival’s Focus on Impact Educational Program, which provides high school and college students throughout San Diego County a chance to explore social issues through film screenings, interactive curriculum and pre-recorded interviews with filmmakers. ♦
