The 16th annual San Diego Women’s Week wrapped up on March 7 with an all-day leadership conference at the Rancho Bernardo Inn.

Organized by the North San Diego Business Chamber, the event attended by around 475 was designed to empower, educate and connect women leaders and those who aspire to become leaders in all walks of life.

Topics covered by speakers and discussions included the transformative power of inclusion, lessons on integrity and purpose from the C-Suite, cultivating self-assurance in leadership, reclaiming time and emotional energy in a world that always demands more, connecting who one is with what one does, advocating for oneself and others, and how to empower one’s way to success.

Caroline Winn, the CEO of San Diego Gas & Electric, and Karin Burns, the CEO of San Diego Community Power, participated in a discussion moderated by Lee Wills, the global human resources leader at ASML. Winn and Burns discussed their career paths that got them to their present positions, how they lead, the importance of mentorships and ways they find a work and family life balance.

The week began with a March 4 networking social at Viasat, Inc. in Carlsbad.
