An elementary school in Grant Hill was put on lockdown Tuesday after a shooting was reported near the campus, San Diego police said.
The shooting was reported around 1:20 p.m. near 30th and Market streets in an alleyway about a block away from Kimbrough Elementary School, Officer Colin Steinbroner said.
Officers detained one person at the scene, and investigators found some bullet casings possibly connected to the shooting in the area, Steinbroner said.
No injuries were reported.
