Great Decisions

At 10:15 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, come to the library for a discussion about “American Foreign Policy at a Crossroads.” The content comes from the Great Decisions Briefing Book, a publication of the Foreign Policy Association. You can pick up a copy at the library to read in advance of the meeting.

Rancho Santa Fe Book Club

your friends and neighbors for a lively discussion of a different book each month. For January, the book is Stranger in the Woods by Michael Finkel. The meeting is at 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, and you can check out the book from the library or a copy from the Libby application.

Coffee & Conversation, Linda Hawley with San Diego Oasis

Linda Hawley from San Diego Oasis with will talk about the Coastal Cruise of Portugal, Spain, and Morocco. All aboard for an exciting visual exploration of exotic, culture-rich cities of Lisbon, Gibraltar, Malaga, and five cities in Morocco. This event is on Thursday, Jan. 16 at 11 a.m.

Chinese Brush Painting

Learn about the fine art of Chinese brush painting on Saturday, Jan. 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This class is for all ages and supplies are provided. Space is limited so please sign up at the branch or call 858-756-2512

Art Display, “An Uncertain Future”

Laura Green hosts a new art display, “An Uncertain Future” through Feb. 28. See it now in the Media Room at the Rancho Santa Fe Library.

Meditation and Mindfulness

Discover simple, effective ways to reduce stress and bring balance and happiness into your life. This special program is limited to 20 participants and advance is required. Call the library at (858) 756-2512, or stop by to for your Wednesday sessions, which start at 10 a.m.

American Flag Drop Off

If it’s time to retire your American Flag, please drop it off at the library. There is a drop box and your flag will be treated with respect.

Battery Drop Off at Library

The Rancho Santa Fe Library is a safe place to dispose of small batteries, including A, AA, AAA, C, lithium (with taped covered ends), cell phone and other small batteries. Do your part to stop pollution by bringing this toxic trash to the library. The drop-off program is in partnership with Universal Waste.

Seeds and Sustainability

The Rancho Santa Fe Library is a seed library too! Come by to pick up two free seed varieties that you can take home and plant.
