Scout Troop 777 in Encinitas has four new Eagle Scouts, the organization announced in a news release.

The scouts and their projects were:

  • Niklas Jones, who helped improve storage for Rancho Coastal Humane Society’s foster supply shed.
  • Praem Kumar, who built stairs to connect Ocean Knoll Elementary with a Torrey Pine tree as an outdoor classroom.
  • Carter Lee, who built a banner display and restored benches at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.
  • Aidan O’Leary, who reconfigured a San Dieguito Heritage Museum lifeguard station into a beach playground.

Historically, less than 10% of scouts earn the Eagle Scout rank.

Troop 777 holds meetings on Mondays at 6:45 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Church in Encinitas. “The troop is known for its strong emphasis on high-adventure treks such as Colorado River canoeing and Philmont hiking, leadership development, outdoor skills, and community service,” according to a news release.
