Doggie Street Festival returns to NTC Park for pet adoptions and more

The 15th annual Doggie Street Festival will return to NTC Park at Liberty Station in Point Loma from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23.

The pet adopt-a-thon, founded by San Diego-based filmmaker Jude Artenstein, has resulted in thousands of homeless animals finding new homes over the years, organizers say.

The event also offers music, food, veterinary tips, pet products and services, a children’s art area, guest speakers, auction items, contests, a VIP lounge and more. ission is free, and visitors’ friendly pets are welcome.

High Tech High Foundation raises $925K through 25th-anniversary gala

The High Tech High Foundation celebrated its 25th anniversary with a gala at Liberty Station in Point Loma on Oct. 19.

The foundation s 16 High Tech schools in San Diego County — including seven in Point Loma — that serve more than 6,600 students in kindergarten through 12th grade. The gala raised $925,000 to assist HTH students pursuing higher education.

The event included live music, silent and live auctions and a Raise the Paddle match.
