Happy to share news about flower show
I live in Poway and when I was leaving the Farmers Market in Old Poway Park recently, I came across the 45th annual Poway Flower Show and Plant Sale. I stopped for a minute to appreciate the work that was getting put into this event and the beauty of it all coming together.
Julie Gallant mentioned in her April 18 story, “Gardeners thrive at 45th annual Flower Show and Plant Sale,” that “First-time visitor Nicole MacDonald drove from San Marcos with her husband.” That put a smile on my face. I was glad to know this event was reaching people from all over.
Gardening has always been a common hobby here in Poway, so the news of a local flower show and plant sale is great information for many local citizens. After I ed the flower show I told many of my friends and family about it.
Although I was bummed I couldn’t stay and see it for myself, I got to read the news about it a few days later, which brightened my mood. I also took it upon myself to share the news story on the event with more friends and family.
I hope I can see this event next year in person and will bring lots of people I know. I hope everyone will check out the event and continue reading the amazing piece Gallant wrote about it.
