Father Joe’s Villages held its 39th annual Children’s Charity Gala this month at The US Grant Hotel. The event was presented by Joan and Irwin Jacobs. Nearly 400 attendees and sponsors united to create “Tales of Hope” for children and families experiencing homelessness in San Diego.

The event raised more than $1,300,000 to combat homelessness and rebuild lives. The funds directly affect the over 2,000 children and teens, and over 550 families served annually at Father Joe’s Villages.

Eric and Jennie Casazza served as honorary chairs. NBC7’s Monica Dean emceed the event.

Cristiano and Adriana Amon and Ron Cohn and family were presented with awards for their contributions to the organization.
