Taddey Dental is nearing 50 years in La Jolla after being opened by Dr. John Taddey, and for the past 25 years he’s been working with his daughter, Dr. Tracy Taddey.
Their office in The Village offers a wide range of dental and aesthetic services and even has a therapy dog.
To find out more, the La Jolla Light asked the following questions of John Taddey.
Q. When and how did your business start?
A. The La Jolla office was opened by John Taddey, DDS, in 1976, and he was ed by his daughter, Tracy Taddey, DDS, in 1999.
Q. What is its mission?
A. Our mission is to provide modern, quality general and family dentistry in a comfortable, relaxed environment. Our doctors as well as our staff and the magnificent ocean views from our treatment rooms all add to this experience.
Q. What services do you offer?
A. We offer all dental restorative services — crowns, fillings, hygiene, Invisalign, smile makeover, whitening and Botox. We recently added the services of a facial-injector ed nurse who uses Botox and fillers to enhance the facial beauty of patients who desire it.
Q. What makes your practice unique compared with similar businesses?
A. What also makes us unique is that we are a third-generation father-daughter dental practice. Also we have Mona Lisa , our therapy dog who has been with us for 15 years. We are obviously also pet-friendly.
Q. What’s new with the business that you want everyone to know about?
A. Recently new is the addition of an injector, Chance Wonder, R.N., to our office. He has extensive experience with Botox, fillers and facial rejuvenation therapies. He is available to treat our patients who request his services, as well as new patients.

A. Doing business in La Jolla is unique and wonderful, from the beautiful Village and ocean to the very interesting, cheerful and well-informed patients who expect only the best. We are fortunate to have served the La Jolla community for many years.
