The La Jolla Shores Permit Review Committee considered home redevelopment projects at these three addresses April 18.
UPDATED:

Two of the three projects that went before the La Jolla Shores Permit Review Committee on April 18 got the board’s go-ahead, with one other set to return for more information.

The committee reviewed three home redevelopment projects that would increase the size of the houses by about double or more.

One project would add 1,924 square feet to a 2,090-square-foot one-story single-family residence at 3001 Cranbrook Court. The work includes a 362-square-foot first-floor addition, a 1,200-square-foot second-floor addition and a 362-square-foot addition to the garage.

The board gave its to the proposal on first review.

A project at 8425 Avenida de las Ondas also was approved on first review. It calls for demolition of a 3,300-square-foot single-family residence and garage and construction of a new 6,700-square-foot two-story single-family residence with a garage, a pool and related site improvements.

A third project was not voted on, as the board asked for more information.

That development would add 3,644 square feet to a 2,503-square-foot house and garage at 8303 Prestwick Drive. The addition would consist of a new second floor, a partial third floor and a roof deck on a 23,958-square-foot lot.

The Permit Review Committee considers projects in the La Jolla Shores Planned District. Its recommendations are forwarded to the La Jolla Community Planning Association for ratification or further review and then to the city of San Diego.

The PRC next meets, pending items to review, at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at the La Jolla Recreation Center, 615 Prospect St. Agendas are posted 72 hours in advance at lajollaa.org. ◆
