Del Mar Pines School is once again offering its popular Summer Discoveries Program. Any student in the San Diego community is welcome to sign up and explore photography, creative writing, coding, LEGO building, and more while building skills in a fun and safe environment.
This year, we are offering two 3-week sessions with:
Session 1 from June 17 to July 3 and
Session 2 from July 8 to 25.
Summer day camp at Del Mar Pines School focuses on academic and personal growth. Our summer students experience amazing leaps forward that put them on a course for success when they return back to school in the fall.
Parents can customize their children’s classes with 3-hour morning classes from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, with the option of adding classes in the afternoon until 2:30 pm. All classes are Monday through Thursday with no classes on Friday.
Taught by our excellent Del Mar Pines teaching staff as well as first-rate area educators, classes offer a variety of choices to meet the interests of all children. Some of the options include art, cooking, Photoshop, LEGO building, coding, creative writing, reading and writing explorations, and sports.
Each year, parents of students who attend other local schools say their children learned more in the reading/writing workshops at Del Mar Pines School than they learned in a whole year at their other schools. Also, the students love the variety of classes and the relationships they make with both teachers and peers.
If your student wants to be a star, Del Mar Pines is the place to be this summer. Musical theater classes for kindergarten through sixth graders have students dreaming up their own musicals, complete with songs and sets, and a performance for friends and families.
While Summer Discoveries Day Camps offer a more relaxed environment compared to the school year, the goal of the academic classes is for parents to see significant improvement in their student’s abilities when they return to school in the fall. Whether the goal is to be better in math, to learn to code, or to find their voice through music and art, summer is a great time for fun, enriching classes that foster the growth of inquisitive, enthusiastic, responsible, and comionate young people.
