Here’s how much rain fell in 40 San Diego County communities over the weekend

A windy storm out of the North Pacific produced rain across San Diego County over the weekend, dropping about 0.25 inches in some coastal areas, more than twice that over some inland valleys and foothills and up to 2.42 inches in the mountains.

Below, you will find rainfall totals from the National Weather Service for 40 communities during the 2-day period that ended at 12:18 p.m. Sunday.

San Diego International Airport has recorded 9.83 inches of precipitation since Oct. 1, when the latest 12-month rainy season began. That is slightly more than the airport averages during an entire season.

The NWS said that a new storm could arrive as early as Wednesday and drop 0.25 inches in coastal areas by Thursday afternoon. Inland valleys and foothills could receive roughly twice as much.
