Too much softball controversy coverage?

Interesting. If the intent of the Dec. 7 article re: PUSD allegations was to make all the associated characters (district, board, victims…) look silly, I’d say it succeeded in spades. I didn’t think juvenile behavior (by juveniles and adults) could be news worthy but somehow it morphed into a 100-page legal complaint and a real large Chieftain article. (Note: the story was written by San Diego Union-Tribune staff writer Kristen Taketa.)

Not much detail but there might be more to the situation if it required 100 pages. Maybe not. Lawyers charge by the page, don’t they? Or hour? Or all the above!

The superintendent’s picture was of suitable size for framing. Thank you.

When it comes to certain subjects, the Chieftain might do well to restrict article word counts to say 250 or less.

For the softball team: There’s no crying in baseball.
