
Andrew Agozzino and Max Jones scored power-play goals, but the Anaheim Ducks saw their three-game preseason win streak end with a 4-3 defeat to the Los Angeles Kings at Pechanga Arena on Friday night.
Nathan Gaucher also scored for Anaheim, which was playing its first preseason game in San Diego since Sept. 21, 1994. The Ducks are the NHL parent club of the San Diego Gulls.
Ducks goalie John Gibson ed 11 saves before leaving with an injury. Calle Clang finished the game.
Alex Laferriere, Martin Chromiak, Samuel Fagemo and Hayden Hodgson scored for LA (3-1-1). Erik Portillo finished with 26 saves.
The Ducks (3-1) now head to Palm Springs, where they’ll take on the Arizona Coyotes on Sunday in the fourth of eight preseason games. The Kings will take on the San Jose Sharks on Saturday night.
