What brings new people to Ramona to purchase a home?

There was a time when affordability was at the top of that list. But when COVID hit, a new reason drove people to purchase property in Ramona. They came because of the space they could have for themselves, their family and their kids.

The convenience of walking to the store around the block or the coffee shop or restaurant in the city were no longer appealing or available. Working from home became a real alternative and continues to be for many people.

Ramona offers much more than more elbow room. The majority of us in Ramona drive to our stores, coffee shops and restaurants. When we arrive, we greet other Ramona residents, chat with friends or just wave to people we see.

Ramona offers us space of our own and a sense of being and belonging. Whether your family has been here beyond time ed, a couple of generations or just newly rooted, there is a welcoming, a friendliness that you don’t find everywhere.

In the month of July, we rally around our FFA and 4H kids at the Ramona Junior Fair. It is a great time of coming together at the Pie Auction to out bid each other on homemade treats that no matter what the price are shared with all who are there.

NJROTC turns out in force with LOVE Ramona at the Ramona Country Fair to make sure this community event put on by the Ramona Chamber of Commerce has parking coverage, trash picked up, ice delivered — all as volunteers.

These are among the things that new Ramona families find and can become a part of when they our community.

When a new neighbor moves in, say hello, help them find all the businesses and events that make ‘R’ Town so special, and in no time that new family will have added a tradition of generations that are Ramona.

When you sell or buy with a local Realtor, more money goes right back into Ramona through use of local businesses, sponsorships for Ramona events, kids and schools.
