The 76th Ocean Beach Kite Festival took to the skies May 20 at Robb Field, courtesy of the local Kiwanis Club.

Each child who attended got a kite kit and some help in assembling it for flight. There also were kite games for kids such as Chase the Tail, Candy Drop and Races, prizes for best-decorated kites, demonstrations by professional kite fliers, a craft fair, food trucks and community information booths.
