SAN DIEGOSAN DIEGO — A man accused in four armed bank robberies in San Diego County over the course of three years was arrested this week in Moreno Valley, police said.
Larry Lightning, 43, was arrested in connection with a series of bank robberies in Escondido, Carlsbad and San Diego between 2019 and 2022, according to San Diego police Lt. Adam Sharki.
In each incident, “armed men entered and took over the bank, acted violently toward staff, and stole cash” Sharki said in a news release.
An arrest warrant was issued Monday, Sharki said. Lightning was arrested Wednesday at his home by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of a SWAT team.
