The California Highway Patrol reported a fatal crash Sunday evening, Feb. 19, near Rancho Santa Fe.
Officers responded to the crash shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Via De La Valle, northeast of Las Palomas, according to a post on social media from the CHP.
The vehicle was on fire.
One person was taken to a hospital. Traffic was blocked at Calzada Del Bosque and Via De La Valle for an unknown amount of time.
Investigators were called to the scene.
