Joyce Orishaba a future leader

Congratulations to Joyce Orshaba. The young lady from Uganda who was a winner in a New York Times essay contest. A remarkable achievement.

Her story and her character are inspirational. I trust she will grow up to be a leader to the benefit of us all. We need more like her.

My thanks to Elizabeth Marie Himchak for Orshaba’s story, which was in the Dec. 15 edition. It was a first-rate piece of journalism.

Rancho Bernardo

XXXXX

What a gift the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints Meeting House in Rancho Bernardo presented to our community with their display of creches and then the Living Nativity reenactment.

The time it must have taken to erect and then present the event was much appreciated. Even to have living animals was a fun surprise.

Hopefully they will present it again next year. Thank you LDS!
