UPDATED:

The Padres found out Tuesday night which team they will be playing in the National League wild-card series.

On Wednesday, they learned what time they will be playing the New York Mets, and on what channel their fans can watch.

Major League Baseball announced Game 1 at Citi Field will begin at 5:07 p.m. PT on Friday. Games 2 and 3 (if necessary) will start a half-hour earlier, at 4:37 p.m. PT, on Saturday and Sunday.

(One possible change: If the Guardians-Rays series ends in two games, the Padres-Mets series will switch to 1:07 p.m. unless the Phillies-Cardinals series also ends in two games, in which case it stays at 4:37. Also, if Padres-Mets is the only series to go three games, the deciding game will be played at 4:07.)

All three games will be televised by ESPN with Karl Ravech, David Cone, Eduardo Perez and Buster Olney announcing.

The Padres radio team of Jesse Agler and Tony Gwynn will also have each game on 97.3-FM, and the games can be heard in Spanish on 860-AM with Eduardo Ortega and Carlos Hernandez.

Local pregame and postgame TV coverage will be carried on Bally Sports San Diego.
