On Saturday, Sept. 10, three graduates of Poway High were inducted into the Titan Hall of Fame. More than 100 of the Poway High School community, friends, family, alumni, teachers and students, gathered to celebrate the occasion at the Poway High Titan Hall of Fame Recognition Dinner.
Kraig Chiles, Class of 2003
Chiles is being recognized for outstanding achievements in athletics. As team captain of the San Diego Sockers, Chiles has led his team to six indoor soccer championships and has been named league Player of the Year and playoffs MVP multiple times.
He is the all-time leading scoring for the team and is one of the most prolific scorers in indoor soccer history. In addition, Chiles was also the starting forward for the U.S. Futsal National Team and U.S. National Indoor Team.
While playing soccer at Poway High. ool, Chiles set the all-time school scoring record. While playing at San Diego State University, he earned three All-Pac-10 team honors. In addition to his accomplishments as a player, Chiles is the executive director for the Cardiff Sockers.
Bill Edwards, Class of 1985
Edwards is being honored for his outstanding achievements in public service and business. After graduating from San Diego State University, Edwards was commissioned in the United States Army. During his 30-year career, Edwards served in numerous leadership positions and in combat operations. Highly decorated, he was awarded two Bronze Stars for valor.
His career as an expert in operational/technical security, counter-terrorism, and counter-intelligence culminated when he served as the Director of Intelligence for Theater Special Operations Command-North. Since his military retirement, Edwards has served as a senior corporate executive and has authored a book and dozens of articles on security and leadership.
Jeremy Fry, Class of 1992
Fry is a stunt performer and coordinator who is recognized as one of the best stunt drivers in the movie industry. He has won multiple awards for his work from the Screen Actors Guild, the Taurus Stunt Awards and the Online Film and Television Association.
Fry has appeared in over 175 films, television shows and commercials, including movies “Black Panther,” “The Bourne Ultimatum,” “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Ford Vs. Ferrari” and “Baby Driver” and TV shows ”Better Call Saul” and ”The Office.”
