Letter to the Editor: Thanks for detaining Casner fire

We would like to extend our grateful thanks to all the first responders to the Casner fire on Wednesday, July 27. Their effective action was immediate, coordinated and positive to detainment of the fire.

To all departments, Cal Fire, Ramona Fire Department, Barona Fire Department, U.S. Forest Service, Ramona Air Attack Base and Riverside County, with their fire retardant and helicopter water drops and their crews that continued to monitor in the following days we are most appreciative of your service!
