Ringo Starr will celebrate his 75th birthday next year, but he certainly doesn’t seem like the retiring type.
One of two surviving Beatles — both of whom played San Diego concerts earlier this year — Starr has announced a March 14, 2015 show at the Events Center at Pala Casino, Spa & Resort.
It’s the final stop on a 30-day tour Starr and his All Starr Band – Steve Lukather, Richard Page, Gregg Rolie, Todd Rundgren, Gregg Bissonette and Warren Ham — will be taking through five Southern states, Puerto Rico, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and California. The only other shows in California will be March 12 in Santa Ynez and March 13 in San Francisco.
Starr and his band played a sold-out show at Humphreys Concerts by the Bay in July. The other surviving Beatle, Paul McCartney, sold out Petco Park in September.
